Have you noticed that those calling evil good and good evil are using the principles in the Bible to “succeed” with their agendas, regardless of how fleeting these successes are? One tactic is found in Luke chapter 18 in the story of the persistent widow. The movie, The Book of Eli also portrays the power of the principles set forth by God when He created the world.
Understanding this truth – that the precepts upon which God created this world to grow and thrive WORK regardless of the intentions of the people using them – helps me understand another instruction HE gives us to live by. He tells us to look at the fruit of something to judge whether it is good or evil and that we will be known and know others by the fruit our lives produce.

Is what is being produced by a certain agenda, way of thinking, living or being something that produces good or rotten fruit? Good fruit would mimic the Spirit of life and true freedom.

Ask: Is “this” making me or others more loving?
Joyful?
Peaceful?
Patient?
Kind?
Good?
Faithful?
Gentle?
Self-Controlled?

OR is it producing rotten fruit like jealousy?
Strife?
Pride?
Selfishness?
Disobedience?
Unforgiveness?
Gossiping?
Sexual Immorality?
Cruelty?
Hatred?
Lovers of self, more than lovers of God?

I see two different roles for us to play as persistent widows. First and foremost, presenting our case before the only Righteous Judge of ALL people: Papa God. Asking for mercy, not only for ourselves but for anyone who can still be saved. Pleading for justice to be had for those who cannot fight for themselves; children, born and unborn, for future generations and those whose days are coming to an end and for those who are coming of age to lead in these dark days.
Secondly, I believe it is our responsibility to be before earthly judges and courts to secure and declare our God-given rights with persistence and IN LOVE – showing the same respect to them that Jesus showed when He was here among us, challenging the present darkness of injustice.

If any of that sounds scary or intimidating, especially in this day and age with so much open persecution, I will leave you with the encouragement of Jesus in Luke 12:

“I’m speaking to you as dear friends. Don’t be bluffed into silence or insincerity by the threats of religious bullies. True, they can kill you, but then what can they do? There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in His hands.”
